We built this website in a way to show appreciation towards this artist, Leonard Siaw, who bring Kuching’s stories, culture, and heritage to life through their creativity. His murals transform ordinary walls into meaningful works of art, allowing locals and visitors to discover and appreciate the rich history of Kuching.
Leonard Siaw
Leonard Siaw, a native of Kuching, Sarawak, began his artistic journey as a self-taught mural artist. His artistic style is greatly influenced by the close connection he develops with the subjects he portrays, allowing each artwork to showcase its own unique identity based on the given theme or title. Through the use of vibrant colours, dynamic compositions, and impactful visuals, he successfully brings each mural to life with aesthetic value and profound storytelling.
Leonard Siaw’s murals often highlight Sarawak’s cultural diversity, community stories, and history, serving as a tribute to the heritage of his birthplace. His artworks have also contributed to increasing public interest in public art and the preservation of Sarawak’s cultural heritage. Currently, most of his mural projects are concentrated around Kuching City. In addition to actively producing murals, he has also been a member of the Sarawak Artists Society since 2016. In the latest development of his career, Leonard Siaw has also ventured into painting on canvas, further expanding the scope of his artistic work.
